Topics we’re looking for..

We’re looking for interesting articles from the following topic areas:

  • Digital entrepreneurship & freelancing: SaaS startups, side hustles, maker & creator journeys, “build in public,” digital marketing strategies, remote work tips, productivity hacks, client relations.
  • Web development and design: UX/UI, frontend + backend development, responsive design, mobile apps, software architecture, web accessibility, user testing, website optimization.
  • Technology: Artificial Intelligence, blockchain, cryptocurrencies, VR/AR/MR, IoT, robotics, data science, machine learning, cybersecurity, quantum computing.

Content quality guidelines

Before submitting your article, ensure you’ve completed the following.

Content:

  • Spend time crafting a compelling title for your article.
  • Craft a clear story-line with concise arguments, supported by details, examples, and/or data.
  • Keep it straight to the point.
  • Organize your content with clear titles + subtitles to facilitate navigation and improve the reading experience.

Keep it ethical:

  • Maintain ethical standards by transparently disclosing any relationships with companies or technologies discussed.
  • Avoid plagiarism at all costs.
  • Do not submit low-effort AI generated content. It’s obvious, it won’t rank well on medium, and it doesn’t satisfy our “interesting article” criteria.

Other tips:

  • Include a cover photo: All articles must have a cover photo — this is what captures a readers attention, it’s important! Ideally include a number of relevant images within your content as well, as it helps to break up longer text and keep it engaging.
  • Make it meaningful: Ensure that readers can directly apply the knowledge gained from your article. Avoid overly promotional content focused solely on selling a product or service, as it’s unlikely to be accepted into the publication.
  • Curation guidelines: Familiarize yourself with Medium’s curation guidelines and incorporate those points into your article to enhance its chances of being curated.

What we prioritize

  • Unpublished draft submissions only: we do not accept previously published stories.
  • Stories behind Medium’s paywall: Medium’s Partner Program offers writers the opportunity to earn income from their work, and we fully endorse this initiative. In our commitment to support writers, we give precedence to stories within the paywall. To join the program, visit the Medium Partner Program link on the https://medium.com/creators page.
